Location

• The Lost Unicorn Hotel is situated overlooking the square of Agia Paraskevi in Tsagarada, famed for its ancient plane tree. 
• This is an ideal base from which to explore Pelion's mountain villages and lovely countryside so hiring a car is recommended. 
• The beaches of Mylopotamos and Fakistra (recently voted one of the world's 20 best deserted beaches by The Observer newspaper) are nearby.

The Hotel

• Beautiful neo-classical Greek mansion was built about 1890 by a family of wealthy merchants from Alexandria. 
• British born Clare and her Greek husband Christos Martzos, own and run The Lost Unicorn. Both have extensive hotel experience and bring a Greek/British feel to this small hotel and restaurant.
• The hotel is unique - each room has its own individual decor, using comfortable antique furnishings.  Downstairs there is the restaurant, a large drawing room with fireplace, bar, television, video, DVD, music and piano, comfortable library with books, board games, cards and television.
• Upstairs there are eight double/twin bedrooms, all with TV, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hair-dryer and modern en-suite bathrooms (shower, washbasin and toilet). The rooms are centrally heated and most have a small balcony.

The restaurant

• Breakfast and dinner are served in the elegant dining room or outside on the terrace.  Homemade bread, jams and marmalades are served with the full English breakfast.

• The food in the restaurant is modern European cuisine in style, bringing together the best of French and Italian traditions.  The restaurant is open most days during the summer and at weekends only in the winter.
• Local apples, pears, cherries, figs, wild mushrooms, walnuts, honey, vegetables and herbs all feature in The Lost Unicorn's regularly changing menu. See our website for an example.

• Standard double/twin room, per room, per night, two people sharing. Euros 90 or Euros 110 with full English breakfast.
• Summer weekly rate Euros 660 with breakfast
